JJ who had a dream of building a company, free of red-tape, that would delight his clients with excellent service and amazing products, started off in 1982 to do just that.

 

With only one telephone line in his office, and sometimes un-manned while visiting his clients, became a major problem for him. He asked Yvonne to assist him on the answering machine and with her cheerful voice and........he got away with it.

 

Established in 1985, LunarTech started out with the repair and upgrade of personal computers for the local market. LunarTech then became a authorised supplier for various major companies which led to the obvious progression of supplying a range of ancillary computer equipment.

 

In 1988 LunarTech launched its own in-house brand of PC and successfully created awareness and demand for the brand locally as well as in neighbouring countries.

The Lunar PC has gained an enviable reputation for it’s quality, stability and performance.

Being an innovative company, LunarTech has expanded also into Web site designs, Computer graphics, Desktop publishing, Sign-making with Large Format Digital printers, the design and manufacturing of Rubber Stamps.

 

Over weekends JJ enjoyed his hobby as a freelance cameraman, and from time to time helped out at the SABC gaining excessive experience working shoulder to shoulder with their crew.

 

During 1990 another division was started as Lunar Studio Productions and today in full swing doing comercial videos, training videos, weddings as well as outdoor events such as sport, wildlife, safaris and 4x4 events. Photogrphy was never left out and is part of our studio.
